Dolci Gelati, a leading artisanal Italian gelato and dessert company based in Washington, D.C., is hiring a Pastry Chef / Gelato Maker to join our production team. This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to learn how to make traditional Italian gelato and delicious desserts like tiramisu, double chocolate mousse, and French macarons. No prior experience is necessary—we’ll train the right candidate who’s reliable, hard-working, and ready to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce gelato and sorbetto from scratch

  • Make pastries and desserts including tiramisu, mousse, and macarons and others.

  • Spin, batch, and package gelato for wholesale, retail, and catering

  • Follow recipes and food safety protocols with accuracy

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment

  • Assist with daily prep and support the production team as needed

Requirements:

  • Interest in pastry, gelato, or culinary arts

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a cold environment

  • Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced kitchen

  • Culinary school or pastry experience is a bonus—but not required

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player
